We're proud to celebrate the first class of Freedom House 2.0 graduates in Central Pennsylvania! Thirteen determined individuals from diverse backgrounds have completed this innovative program, opening doors to meaningful healthcare careers.
Named after the groundbreaking 1960s Freedom House Ambulance Service in Pittsburgh, this five-week program provides comprehensive healthcare training while addressing real barriers like transportation, technology needs, and financial challenges.
These graduates—from single parents to career-changers to internationally trained professionals—received hands-on training in medical emergencies, CPR, first aid, mental health, and more.
The UPMC Pinnacle Foundation is honored to support this transformative workforce development initiative that strengthens our Harrisburg community by creating pathways for underrepresented individuals to enter healthcare professions. Congratulations to all our graduates! Your journey inspires us all.
